Happy Valentine’s Day Baby

I didn’t want flowers.  I didn’t want to go see a movie.  I didn’t want candy or jewelry.  All I wanted was orange “chicken.”  And Mitchell came through and met my one request.

Dare I say, this is worse than any doctor’s handwriting I have ever seen.

I made Mitchell this card ….

Let’s be honest.  I have never called Mitchell “baby” before.  Nor would I ever really use the blog title “Happy Valentine’s Day Baby” … when referring to Mitchell that is.  In this case … the “baby” … is in fact … an actual baby.  A girl to be exact.

This picture is back from week 18 … but I pretty much look the same now … at 21 weeks.  I’m not quite sure where that cute little thing is hiding in there but I sure wish she would she would stop being so shy.  I’m kind of tired of looking like I visit the donut shop every morning for breakfast.

We are super elated and are excited to meet her at the end of June.

Wow, we had orange chicken on Valentine's Day, too! Feeling so bonded. (Though I'm pretty sure chicken doesn't need to be in parentheses in our case. I hope not.) We actually got a babysitter and went to check out the Chinese Restaurant in our little town--the Hard Wok Cafe.

It is nice to be past the point where people are wondering if you're pregnant or just rounding out a bit. Past the awkward point where your regular clothes don't fit quite right but neither do maternity clothes. I'm super short, so I hit that point at about 11 or 12 weeks, I think. And then at 5 or 6 months people start saying, "anyday now" to me. And at this point, 8 months, people start commenting in surprise, "You haven't popped yet?" Elodie saw this pic and said, her "belly does not look big." She's right. I don't even think you look like you've been hitting up the donut shop, you just look cute!

I am so excited for you guys!!!

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys, and I can't wait to meet her. And what fun that she'll have so many Fillmore cousins her age.

I mean quotation marks, not parentheses.

You are cute, Erin. So stylin, so crafty (love the owl card!), so fun. I agree that it is fun to truly look pregnant. Maybe it's your rock hard ab muscles holding everything in tight for now.

Yea for little girls! We are really happy for you!
