If you don't watch the office, then maybe you should. One of the classic episodes is the presentation of the Dundie Awards. I have prepared my own little version...... The Wedding Gift Dundies.....
The first Dundie goes to ......
The Glass Picture Frame...."first to be regifted" award.... (sorry if the one who gave this to us is reading this, but i'm pretty sure you regifted it as well, on the box it said 1977.)
To The Whale Ice Cream Scoop...... "20 pounds in 4 weeks" award. I use this one almost every day. This has an amazing design, very heavy weight and cuts right through even hard ice cream. Ice cream is a major staple in my diet. We currently have over 3 gallons of ice cream in the freezer.
To the Wheat Grinder...."Kick us out of our apartment" award. I love this thing, it can grind 7 cups of wheat in a minute flat, but don't forget the ear plugs. I turned this baby on at 6 am to whip up a batch of muffins and so much for a surprise breakfast. I'll try to coordinate the next usage with an air raid or tornado.
To the 18" LED Beaded Reindeer .... "Direct to storage" award. This one is probably next up to be regifted, it was so original and weird i had to include it. If you're getting married6 days before Christmas you better know whats coming. (Thats you Morgan)
To the Peace Be Still Painting...."Most Beloved" award. Erin absolutely loves this painting. And so do I. It sits right in our front room above the couch for all to see.
To the box of tape and glue and random fasteners..... "handiest" award. This has come in handy countless amounts of time. Its nice not to have to go to the store to get that stuff. It will be a while before i'm low on office supplies again.
To the Toast-R-Oven Oven.... "who rang my doorbell?" award. You'll have to ask Corinne about that one.
To any gifters I didn't mention, doesn't mean we didn't love your gift. To any i did mention I hope i didn't offend you. Erin and I were both surprised by how many people showed up and by how many gifts we did get. Thank you all for your sacrifices in coming to see us and in helping us start our life together.

Getting you kicked out of your apartment was our main goal. Glad you like the grinder.
LOL loved this post! Rachael and I were pleased to find ourselves amongst the Wedding Dundies. Glad you guys are enjoying the painting. Hope it graces your living room for years to come, and never has to hang out with the LED deer in storage.
I too am a fan of this post. I appreciate the toaster oven getting some props. And since I'm no longer on the docket for a December wedding...I had better not be seeing that blasted reindeer anytime soon!
Sweet, I made the Dundie list--glad the whale is getting used. You oughta like it, since you registered for it!
haha. i love this post so much. and...that box of handy things is such a great gift idea! I'll have to remember that.
what about the "set it and forget it" award? i think i'd have that one cornered!
